Garrus let out a huff as the two of them started on the path to the Cafe that Liara's father once worked at. "I also told you to meet me at the bar. For Mass Effect 3 on the Xbox , a GameFAQs message board topic Legion: "This platform can be of some assistance Garrus Vakarian" "If this thing goes sideways and we both end up in heaven meet me at the bar.".
SpaceRanger Either turian heaven is the same as human heaven or Shepard just can't bring herself to make a decision without knowing the fate of her friends and the one her soul yearns for the most: All of the characters in this fic are not mine.
Comments and complaints welcomed! If this offends you press the back button now! I've been working on this fic since an anon at the kink meme prompted this almost three years ago. I was only able to complete this recently because I had horrible Writer's Block that entire time. I'm still not completely satisfied with it but it's… passable.
The prompt said this: So Shepard made it to the bar before a non-romanced Garrus by quite a few decades. Meet Me at the Bar The endless daylight found a lazy Shepard lounging on one of the larger tree branches in the middle of the Presidium garden next to the Meridian Place Market; eyes half-leaded, head pillowed on the crook of one of her elbows, and one hand dangling off the branch.
Had she been a dog, her tail would've waved happily and contently as she enjoyed the uninterrupted warmth of the faux sunshine with no C-Sec officer in sight… Until a flanging voice cuts through her down time, calling her name.
Figures I'd have to end up back here of all places in order to get in a friendly chat. Instead she muttered grumpily, "Any reason this can't wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some research right now.
I suppose I can see why this place deserves some in-depth research. That kind of research gets old after a while though. You need something to really spice things up. Calibrating that gun is much more interesting then researching sunlight. Garrus returned her grin by flaring his mandibles in what passes for a smug turian smirk.
What are you doing here?! It's been too quiet. Not enough bad guys around to kill. Thanks, glad I'm what? Number on the list of things to do as soon as you get here. She took a few steps to get closer to her friend for a quick hug then clapped him on the back. You owe me a beer. You did say you were buying. Instead, I had to find your lazy ass up a tree. What are you a dog? I thought it would be a few more decades before you got here!
How long you plan on sticking around? After that, it's wherever she decides to go. And I think that's a good thing. The krogans still need him. If I had it my way, he'll live for another thousand years and would still able to kick ass. Live too long and you just can't see this anymore.
Shepard looked over at him questioningly. It's the difference between the new rookie and me who'd been in C-Sec for too long. The rookie looks around and thinks 'with this arrest I'm making a difference'.
But me… Experience has shown me that because of political ties or lots of money, the judge is just going to let him go free and arresting him made no difference at all. And Wrex, he's given up on his race before, what's to say he wouldn't do it again? So, just give them a chance. The krogans have more than earned it even if they do have some stupid idiots that want to go back to the old days and do nothing but fight everyone.
We had to help him put down a few of those stupid upstarts. And your faith in Wrex has paid off so far. Sure don't know what he'd do without me backing him up now. Just not as stylishly, of course. Someone might take that as a challenge to shoot down that big ego of yours. It's on like Donkey Kong's schlong. Just get ready to lose after this.
All right, why does the Alliance hire pilots with brittle bone disease?
So their marines can beat someone in hand-to-hand drills. Damn, you need to tell James that one. Maybe even find out what a turian-human baby looks like. Hmm … I suppose there will be a lot of little krogan around soon. I did the best I could without a carapace or a crest. Your best has my mandible on the floor. What do we know about the mercs? Shepard … thought you might be up here.
You know what the best part is about a battle that decides the whole fate of the galaxy? Forgive the insubordination, but your boyfriend has an order for you… come back alive.
You sure you want to play this game? To borrow a phrase from Vega—you looked smoking in that dress, Shepard. You got some looks. I am Garrus Vakarian and this is now my favorite spot on the Citadel! Sir … I am definitely not an expert. Still think you can win this, huh? I can do this all day, Scars. Yeah, I hung out a lot of places last night.
Can you hear me?! Might need a little backup. Lucky for you, Archangel is your boyfriend.
Be there as fast as I can. So … having a bad day, Shepard? You could say that.

You gotta get out of here! No matter what happens … you know I love you. The bartender, who was also a Turian, looked past Garrus as if he wasn't even there and only casually began cleaning glasses and preparing drinks. Garrus turned towards the bartender and smiled, waiting patiently for service. Besides surely you've got people at home waiting for you.
Don't worry, I'm sure you'll have someone eventually. Opening the beer, the bartender poured it as carefully as he could.
Once the glass was full, Garrus, thinking that it was for him, reached for it. The bartender corked the bottle and put it back where it was, after which he picked up the glass and downed it just as Garrus would have picked it up.
I've been sitting here for twenty minutes waiting for a drink. How dare you pour one for yourself and drink it as if it were nothing right in front of me? Garrus huffed, disgusted by the bartender's behavior and was just about to leave when out from the corner of his eye he saw Shepard enter the room.
Shepard was wearing a black dress with high heels. As Shepard made her way to the counter, Garrus could only think of a few words to describe what he was feeling, all of them having to do with hearts exploding and random shimmering bursts of light. Shepard nodded and brought the drink to her mouth just as Garrus spoke again.
The bartender nodded reluctantly, letting out a heavy sigh at the same time, for he knew that with Shepard in the room it was going to be a long night. No questions asked, no complaints. And just between you and me, I won't tell anyone.
Close this place up when I'm gone. Go home and get some rest, you look like you've earned it. There's always someone coming in the late hours, I wouldn't want to miss out on an opportunity.
